Take 1 cup rice flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil… …and 1/2 cup boiled or mashed beetroot. Mix all the ingredients. Knead in lukewarm water as per need. Let it sit for sometime. After letting the dough rest for about half an hour, start making tortillas. Make a peda from the kneaded dough, and roll it out thinly… …a little thinner than we roll out breads. Place the tortilla onto a heated skillet. High heat will cause tortillas to harden and lose their softness. Maintain a low flame while making the tortillas. This will give you soft tortillas.
Make tortillas using the dough one by one. Keep them in a cloth to prevent them from drying out. It is very easy to make healthy tortillas. You can also pack these for your kid's lunch. It's an easy way to include healthy ingredients…..like Moringa and Beetroot to their diet..
