Beetroot & Moringa Tortilla | Gluten Free | Rice Flour

admin · October 29, 2022 · Leave a Comment

Tortilla is a type of bread that is made using corn or refined wheat flour… …in Mexico. You can make wraps, rolls and soft tachos with these. Today, I’m Making Healthy Tortillas in three different ways. Let’s begin! First of all, I am making classic tortillas. Take 1 cup rice flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp olive oil in a bowl. In case you don’t have olive oil, you can use any other vegetable oil as well. Mix all the ingredients. And then knead it in lukewarm water as per need. Let it sit for a while. We are using Moringa leaves to make the next tortilla.

Moringa leaves are very healthy… …and this is an easy way to include it in our diet. To make Moringa tortilla… …take 1 cup rice flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil… …and 1/2 cup boiled or mashed Moringa leaves. Mix all the ingredients. Knead it in lukewarm water as per need. Let it rest for sometime. We are using beetroot to make next tortilla. Take 1 cup rice flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil… …and 1/2 cup boiled or mashed beetroot. Mix all the ingredients. Knead in lukewarm water as per need. Let it sit for sometime. After letting the dough rest for about half an hour, start making tortillas.

Make a peda from the kneaded dough, and roll it out thinly…..a little thinner than we roll out breads. Place the tortilla onto a heated skillet. High heat will cause tortillas to harden and lose their softness. Maintain a low flame while making the tortillas. This will give you soft tortillas. Make tortillas using the dough one by one. Keep them in a cloth to prevent them from drying out. It is very easy to make healthy tortillas. You can also pack these for your kid’s lunch. It’s an easy way to include healthy ingredients…..like Moringa and Beetroot to their diet..
